April 13, 201214 yr what is everyone's take on this season? For me, it has been very lackluster. I would put it in the middle of the pack of Survivor seasons at best. Lackluster is a good word. The dumbest collection of men ever assembled.

Since Colton is gone I'm enjoying it. I like the way Kim is playing and other then Tarzan I like these contestants. I think many are upset that with Colton gone there's no real jerk that everyone loves to hate. I may be in the minority but I didn't enjoy watching Russell being a bully or Rob leading a bunch of idiots abound because they were more interested in star gazing then playing the game.

Rob (still love him) and Russell would have some rather inappropriate things to say about everyone in their confessionals. Kim doesn't really make fun or say anything mean. She just goes about her business. The game play is extremely similar though.

I have never understood why people like Rob and Russell and Colton couldn't be content with just playing a smart game. They had to be insulting and hurtful. Some people may find that entertaining, I guess I'm old fashioned I finds it low brow and boorish.

April 15, 201214 yr How different would things have been had Colton stayed? No telling. I think he would have been toast after the merge but he didn't last long with merge so we'll never really know.
April 15, 201214 yr Not a great season by any stretch. Unless I've just missed the boat the strategy has been weak overall with a very weak crop of men. Also, it isn't like there is an outstanding cast of female players, it seems to be 3 solid players at the most.

As a person who has been religiously watching since Season 1 (I think I've only missed 1 or 2 episodes) let me say that had Colton stayed I may have quit watching. I was already fast forwarding through him when I watched on DVR. It literally made me angry any time he opened his mouth. I hope the rest of the cast give him what's for at the reunion show but I have a feeling based on some interviews I've read with him that he's going to act all contrite.

April 15, 201214 yr I will third the above posts on Colton. He is perhaps the only person I can think of in all of Survivor history that I feel is a despicable person. I also may have stopped watching if he stayed in the show.
