*Southwestern is good...Steve Wright got as many pieces into place as he had time to. Look out next year after he has had a year to pick out his other pieces and get them there.

 

*East Jessamine is the dark horse.

 

*Wayne might be next best team and they are young. Look out 12th region in the years to come, no matter how many Wright recruits, he cant out coach Woods.

 

*McCreary Central had a few good wins over Christmas break. But dont get to excited, Robert Jones is still the coach.

 

*Casey County should petition to play on the girls side.

I'll take Southwestern to win this region when it's all said and done.

Somerset was not prepared to play tonight. It was ugly! (Danville 69 Somerset 50) This is a game Somerset should have won on paper, but couldn't get it done. Although you can't take away from Danville and Ford, they did play a good game. Congrates to Danville and good luck the rest of the way. They put it to Somerset and move on to the class A region finals.

I wouldnt read too much into the Pulaski score, teams rarely come back and play well after a rivalry game. Also looks like Mercer has played some competitive games this year. I was surprised by the Somerset - Danville score but thought Danville might be a little better right now. Thought it could go either way and would be competitive.

Glasgow over Clinton Co 74 to 63, havent seen either team but heard some say Clinton was pretty good.
