12th Region Thoughts so far...

Featured Replies

I still wouldn't put Mercer in the top 10 of the 12th. Danville beat Mercer by 22 last week. CovCath beat them by 52. Madison Central beat Mercer by 22. What competitive games are you speaking of?

I'll take Southwestern to win this region when it's all said and done.

I still think Pulaski does it or East Jessamine. Unhappy campers in Southwestern land. Or so it seems anyways. Could just be a small but vocal group.

Looks like they lost by 5 against W Jessamine, and lost by 10 at East Jessamine, maybe the 10 is not the most competitive but at East Jessamine not too bad

I wouldnt put Mercer in the top 10 either, but I did see where you had Somerset in the top 6, keep in mind Danville beat Mercer by 22 and Somerset by 19

That's right. They did do better against the Jessamines than I thought they would. Merced is young. They'll be better over the next couple of years. They are very up and down this year.

I was just having some fun with ya, truth is, these are kids and on any given night any team can win or lose some games. Who would have thought North Carolina loses by 30 or so last weekend, but I wouldnt want to play them come March.

We all look at scores, stats, schedules etc, but that is the fun part of it. But none of us can predict what kids will do on any given night, we cant predict turnovers, foul trouble, or free throws or any of that, but its fun trying to act like we are smarter than the other guy.

I dont think there will be any easy games for anyone in the 12 region tourney, most tourney games are usually low scoring and there will be some nailbiters that people didnt think would be.

What happened to Somerset tonight?

Danville hit somewhere between 12-15 3s. They were out of their mind from outside. Somerset was flat but with the way Danville shot I don't think it would have mattered.

That's a good point. Rings especially true this year in the 12th.

No doubt. My head was on swole after Pulaski beat Southwestern. Made my weekend.

True as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last few 12th region tourneys.

Can somdeeone give a list of good freshman starting on varsity teams statewide. Wondering hoe Timmy Taylor at Lincoln compares?

The 12th Regional will be palyed at Pulaski Co. So I'll give them the heads up right now. Look for Southwestern, East Jess. to make a run. Linclon, Danville, Wayne or McCreary Central can knock anyone off on a given night. This Tourney will be a lot of fun to watch.
