Somebody needs to enlighten this dude or maybe this is an old list.

 

CovCath should be where NCC is at 23. Holy Cross should be at 16 and NCC at #20. I think Dixie/HC and NCC are all legit Top 20 teams. Cov Cath has played a tough enough schedule to probably warrant a crack into the Top 25.

His rankings are by computer with: Rating the State is a system for ranking the state's high school basketball teams, according to strength, schedule and record.

They should call it the COMPUTER rankings then instead of Dave Cantrell rating the state.

If I was Dave Cantrall, I wouldn't want my name associated with this.

East Jessamine at 21? Third best team in the 12th region. Really?

I am not sure of who played each other within the state. But i do know that Holy Cross played Bowling Green twice on a neutral court and beat them twice. How are they ranked at 8 or even above HC. I do think they are a very good team but they should not be ranked higher, even with the loss to Holmes the past week, HC's record is 14-2. That does not make sense.

Seems they are about a week late. For starters, Cath stock has dropped and New Cath's has risen over what I see on here. I have a hard time believing 4 ninth region teams make the cut.

know what your mean. GRC has beaten #10 Manual and #11 Southwestern on a netural court. Both ranked above GRC. Last week GRC fell one spot and hasn't lost a game since Dec 9th. We are 18-2.

Don't forget that margin of victory is a big factor in these ratings also, so if your team is squeaking by in close games and somebody else is blowing people out, that plays heavily into the formula.

I didn't even notice Southwestern at #11......smh......

I think Cantrall uses an IBM 386 to calculate his rankings.
