Spring Break Suggestions

Featured Replies

We have taken a few years off the Spring Break vacation and are looking to head somewhere this year. I really enjoyed Siesta Key, FL when we went 4 yrs ago, the white sand was awesome. I would like to head somewhere south obviously.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

And you still are allowed to live in Ft Thomas?

I'd suggest SK again.

I'd then check into Folly Beach in South Carolina. Not sure what the weather is there during spring break. It's a true beach town.

Ever been to St. Simons, GA? You'd be give or take 2 hours from Savannah, so that would be a relatively reasonable day trip, and St. Simons is as peaceful as could be. The Jekyll Island Club is right across the sound from St. Simons as well - talk about an awesome place with some really cool history!

Sounds nice but I am looking further south. Its already hit or miss on the weather that time of the year.

I have been to Savannah a couple times, great little city with tons of history and a great boardwalk by the river. Had a few too many Dacquiri's there back in the day on St. Patty's day. lol

Some Ft. Thomas follks go to Anna Marie Island or Indian Shores so looking there as well but still deciding if we want to be in that kind of company or not. I loved Siesta Key though a little pricy. We did a fishing trip in Sarasota and the beaches are superb.

I've heard good things about Indian Shores.

Puerto Vierta was a blast, not sure I've ever experienced so much in my life

I highly recommend staying ON Jekyll Island. Easily the best value on the Atlantic Coast, especially since St. Simons is more well known. And I agree, a trip to Savannah is definitely in order. And it's an easy drive to Jacksonville, FL as well.

Tybee Island, GA

If you're in Savannah go to Vinnie Van GoGo's for pizza.

New Orleans. If your spring break is right you might catch the final four or the sec tourney.
