January 9, 201214 yr I think today is the day he finds out if he made the HOF. My guess is that he'll get in.
January 9, 201214 yr I was listening to the radio earlier today and people were predicting he'd get in with 77% of the vote (he needs 75%). Personally I hope he gets in. Was a great player to watch.
January 9, 201214 yr I think he should and will get in, definitely deserving. Anyone know when the announcement is suppose to come?
January 9, 201214 yr Author Reasons Why he should get it? Im just curious on your guys thoughts. Only 4 SS ever had more .300 seasons that Larkin. Complete hitter - power and average and can run. Strong D as evidenced by 3 Gold Gloves. Dominant SS of his era. One of the best players in the game regardless of position during his time.
January 9, 201214 yr 12 time All Star, 3 Gold Gloves, MVP, 9 Silver Slugger, 1st 30 /30 SS, World Series winner, on the forefront of changing how people view SS as an offensive threat versus defensive position only, rated by Bill James as one of the 10 most complete players of all time in baseball history and ranked as the 6th best SS of all time by James, clearly a dominate player in his era. He truly is one of the best offensive SS of all time and the 3 Gold Gloves show he also was great defensively.

January 9, 201214 yr If Barry Larkin played in NY or Boston, he would have been in on the first ballet. The only thing that has hurt him was his durability and playing in the Midwest.
