Romney Wins Iowa Caucus by 8 Votes

Could you see any way possible that either Bachmann or Perry would throw their support behind Romney? I can't see Perry doing it, but I could potentially see her giving Mitt her support. :idunno:
Not sure Romney wants Bachmann's endorsement :D

I would look for Gov Perry and Rep Bachmann to drop out today.

If Mr. Santorum did not do well in Iowa he was going to be in big trouble. In exit polls his support came from people who claimed abortion as the #1 issue and those who consider themselves "far right." In other words, he can't win the Presidential election.

That would be the definition of an anti-endorsement.

I think Romney has tried to stay clear of all candidates because he is as at least smart enough to realize they are all extremely flawed and will self distrust at some point.
Potentially. Or Romney could pull away from the onset. The rising and falling and rising again of candidates will start to cease now. Santorum, from my perspective, appears to be the only legit threat to make a serious run. If he does well next week and can easily secure the #2 spot, you may be right. Paul's base supporters will never defect.
He could pull away, but the Iowa results point more towards a heavily split GOP than a Romney sprint out ahead.
 I would waver between amusement and terror.
Terror comes with every GOP candiate this year. :D
Huntsman has devoted his time and effort to New Hampshire. Not sure he even went to Iowa. This will be his last stand. With emphasis on the word last.

I've thought all along that Huntsman would be a good choice for Vice President. With Romney looking more and more like the candidate, I don't think he'll select Huntsman because they wouldn't want two Mormons on the ticket.

They would lock Utah up.

And any one of them would be a vast improvement over the train wreck that currently lives in the White House (on the rare instances that he's not spending tax dollars on the campaign trail)

Wellllll ..... I wouldn't go that far. But I get your point.

Who knows. Obviously they both have more in common with Santorum but people like to get behind a winner or be a "team player" for the party. I think the biggest thing is that Perry's campaign was loaded and now they won't be attacking the other candidates with that money any longer. He could also give it to Santorum if he so chose.

If I'm Obama I'm all smiles after that...

Obama's biggest fear is that Romney wins the nomination and unemployment stays over 8%. That's a formula for his being a one term president. At this point I don't see Romney not getting the nomination.

:walk::walk:...Different thread my friend.

Seemed perfectly appropriate to me
