That is the most amazing stat in the NBA thus far. Some of those attempts have been in desperation and more difficult so even those I do not count. It is not a coincidence he is shooting at an all-time high % level. Last year was his previous high at 51% (career 48%). Today he is at 57%. That is staggering. I guess he has finally been reading my posts.

All of the 3's I saw him take last night were with the shot clock running down out of desperation.

Lebron's problem in the fourth isn't him not being clutch and not hitting big shots, his problem is he isn't taking enough shots. Against the Warriors Lebron only attempted 3 shots the entire quarter. Last night couldn't've been much better. I think what has happened is Lebron has somehow went to the mentality of trying to get his teammates involved to win the game rather than him taking them on his shoulders and trying to do it himself. He has been playing passive and has not played with the killer instinct it takes to win games in the 4th quarter.

 

You guys have short memory's if you go ahead and say Lebron has always been like this he'll never be a 4th quarter player. This issue has only came around the Finals until now. There were plenty of times in Cleveland where Lebron got it done the whole game, not just three quarters. Somehow in this arrangement with Wade and Bosh around him he has resorted to basically a point forward role in the offense opposed to 4th quarter finisher. I think if Lebron got into the mindset and mentality to take a game over in the 4th quarter he could do it. Taking only 3 shots though is not it, once he quits deferring to the other guys to get it done and starts to try to get it done himself the Heat will be almost unbeatable. Reason being if that ends up happening the other guys' points are still going to come off of that because the defense will start to focus more on Lebron so the more plays Lebron makes for himself the more the offense could open up for Wade, Bosh, Cole, Haslem, Miller, etc.

He was 0-0 in the 4th against the Warriors. His 3 shots came in OT. At some point he has to quit shying away from shooting the ball in the 4th quarter.

 

It's like he doesn't want to penetrate because he knows he'll get fouled and have to shoot free throws. IMO he is running away from pressure. Seeing as how he left Cleveland to go play in Miami with another superstar and half of one I feel like my theory of him not wanting any pressure at all makes sense.

Look back at the reaction he had when he hit that game winning 3 in game 2 of a playoffs series with the Cavs a few years ago. I remember thinking "jeez, you'd think he'd never hit a game winner before." I'm starting to think that's true.

You may be right. I just don't think too much stock can be put into anything this regular season.

Kwame Brown is also out for 3 months.

Not so sure I would agree with that all the way considering he used to handle the pressure pretty good in Cleveland when it was all on him. People talk about his 4th quarter struggles since the Finals last year but people forget about him scoring 32 straight for the Cavs to close out a big Conference Finals win against the Pistons. Or the game winner against the Magic, or all the other winning moments late he had for the Cavs. I just really think he has had trouble adjusting to center stage in Miami, maybe its because it was already D-Wades team, maybe it's because he's trying to do other things, maybe it is because he is scared. I just know he doesn't have the same killer go for broke instinct late in games for the Heat that he did so many years for the Cavaliers. The reason for that I don't know, but to act like he has been this way late in games his whole career is just not accurate.
