January 12, 201214 yr It truly blows my mind. Never seen anything remotely close to it in my life. How do you repeatedly fail to get it done in the fourth quarter? It's ridiculous. Especially when you watch him practically do whatever he wants the first three quarters. How are you a teammate of his without calling him out on it? Blows my mind. That's why if they do win it all (and I'm assuming at some point in the next 3-4 years they will), the credit has to go to DWade. It's why LeBron will never reach Jordan or Kobe status IMO. Those guys were/are as clutch as they come. Game on the line, there are a TON of guys in the league right now I'd rather have take the last shot.

January 12, 201214 yr I agree with all those guys as well....I almost put Fish on there....He's not the prolific guy the rest of them are, but he seems to have hit more than his fair share of big moment buckets.

Absolutely. He sucks for 3 and half quarters and I'd still rather have Fish take the last shot or free throws in the final minute than Lebron.

January 12, 201214 yr Look back at the reaction he had when he hit that game winning 3 in game 2 of a playoffs series with the Cavs a few years ago. I remember thinking "jeez, you'd think he'd never hit a game winner before." I'm starting to think that's true.
January 12, 201214 yr To be fair to LeBron, it was nice to see him drive to the hoop twice in the last few seconds instead of settling for a poor outside shot. Of course he clanked two of the four FT's.
January 12, 201214 yr Lebron's problem in the fourth isn't him not being clutch and not hitting big shots, his problem is he isn't taking enough shots. Against the Warriors Lebron only attempted 3 shots the entire quarter. Last night couldn't've been much better. I think what has happened is Lebron has somehow went to the mentality of trying to get his teammates involved to win the game rather than him taking them on his shoulders and trying to do it himself. He has been playing passive and has not played with the killer instinct it takes to win games in the 4th quarter. You guys have short memory's if you go ahead and say Lebron has always been like this he'll never be a 4th quarter player. This issue has only came around the Finals until now. There were plenty of times in Cleveland where Lebron got it done the whole game, not just three quarters. Somehow in this arrangement with Wade and Bosh around him he has resorted to basically a point forward role in the offense opposed to 4th quarter finisher. I think if Lebron got into the mindset and mentality to take a game over in the 4th quarter he could do it. Taking only 3 shots though is not it, once he quits deferring to the other guys to get it done and starts to try to get it done himself the Heat will be almost unbeatable. Reason being if that ends up happening the other guys' points are still going to come off of that because the defense will start to focus more on Lebron so the more plays Lebron makes for himself the more the offense could open up for Wade, Bosh, Cole, Haslem, Miller, etc.
January 12, 201214 yr It's good to see LeBron has figured out he can't shoot 3s and has basically abandoned the shot altogether. This year, he's taken 5 and made 0. He's shooting 0.5 threes per game... By comparison, last year he shot 3.5 per game.

Some of those attempts have been in desperation and more difficult so even those I do not count. It is not a coincidence he is shooting at an all-time high % level. Last year was his previous high at 51% (career 48%). Today he is at 57%. That is staggering. I guess he has finally been reading my posts.
