IMO with wins over Ryle and Morgan County in the last 5 days Beechwood has to be number 1 for now.

I like Beechwood as stated in other posts, however, Ryle is terrible and who knows what kind of competition Morgan Co. has played. Both 16th region teams came to Campbell Co with good records and both lost tonight. I still think NCC and HC have more talent and much more depth than Beechwood.

Boy! that Romes kid can play can't he? It's good to see a kid know the game like he does. I can see his dad's influence in the way he plays.

I just looked at Morgan County's schedule. They were 8-0 before Beechwood beat them but only one of the 8 teams they had beaten had a winning record.

Is Owensboro Catholic eligible for the "A" Tournament? If they are I would think that they would be the hands down favorite to win the 3rd region and should have a good shot to win the whole thing.

Owensboro Catholic is eligible for All A Classic again this year and I would think would be a solid contender in all the games. Very impressed with what they did in the 5/3. I think they did open some eyes with what they did. A good game on 01/03 with Catholic at Apollo coming up.

I would say Owensboro Catholic and University Heights look like the co-favorites right now.

Saw O-Cath beat both CovCath and Trinity at the Lexington Catholic Tournament this week. They have an outstanding stating five and a pretty good sixth man but after that they are very weak. I had the pleasure to meet and talk with Ivey parents during the Trinity game. Of course they rooted for their son but really they seemed to be more excited about the other kids on the team when they made a good play or encouraged a player on if he made a mistake. They (Ivey’s parents) are great examples of how parents should act while watching their children playing a high school game.

B-ville from the 13th should be in that top 5.

Danville

Somerset

only 2 that needs to be mentioned in he 12th

Have seen Bardstown twice and they will be very good by mid-season. Football players still getting their legs under them but are playing well anyway. Beat Ryle a few days ago.

1 Gallatin County

2 Owen County

Throw Carroll, Trimble, Eminence, Williamstown, and Walton-Verona in a hat, shake it up, and see which order they come out.

Right now, I'd have to say Beechwood would be the favorite in the 9th. Good showing vs CovCath & South Laurel.
