December 14, 201114 yr Playing with Deron Williams and an owner that will spend to win is compelling. Playing in NY and being able to make his own legacy could be a factor. Being the Man in Brooklyn could be a really cool thing. Flexability. Bynum & Gasol with a bunch of role players will never get a championship there IMO. They would not have the flexability to add anyone in the future and they would be good enough that they'd never have a really good draft pick. Lopez gives them flexability. He's proven to be a very good young big, he's still in his rookie deal and does not have the baggage that either Gasol (age) or Bynum (health) has. Only way I'd want Bynum and Gasol together in a trade is if I already had a very good wing player. Flexibility to do what? Lose? They surely won't win a ring with Lopez. They would need to add a heck of a lot to win around him.

You can compare that to the Demarcus Cousins video where he is joking about his lockout diet and see which one was more determined about basketball. While most guys were enjoying the time off looks like Perk got to work.

Picks would've been Nets & Rockets 2012s, Nets 2014, Nets 2016, & Nets 2018. Have fun finishing the season a huge disappointment, then watching Dwight walk away a la Shaq.

If you're going to be bad, why not this year when the draft will be loaded? They can build through the draft, which is now the only way small markets can compete. You stay mediocre with Bynum and Gasol. They'd be the new Hawks. I'd much rather be a team like the Kings (personel-wise) and be able to keep adding talent.
December 15, 201114 yr Cavs amnesty Baron Davis. If I had to guess I don't think any teams with cap space will pick him up leaving him open to being a FA.
