^He'd have to agree to exercise his option for next season as well for the trade to take place. They'd be getting him for 2 years, with hopes they'd be able to lock up Blake and Paul to long-term extensions in that time frame.

 

A core of Bledsoe, Paul, Griffin, Butler, and Jordan would be pretty formidable for the next couple years IMO. I like that they're trying to make a big splash and win now, instead of always planning for the "future".

Butler is almost 32 and is clearly on the downside of his career. No way I am giving up at top 5 pick in this draft that is coming up. Gordon is a stud, I can't justifying giving all that up to get Paul for 2 years. It doesn't make them title contenders.

I'd try to convince them to accept Foye instead of Bledsoe, although it's incredibly corrupt that Stern is making them include anything more.

This on top of the long lockout is the beginning of the end for Stern IMO.

If I'm Stern, I'd be very very concerned about setting foot in NBA arenas in a public manner. I can't imagine him being able to sit in the stands at games anymore.

I saw where they have to choose between Gordon or the pick. Stern is an absolute joke right now.
