I guess any Gasol is better than no Gasol. Houston just needs a big regardless. They've been playing 4's at the 5 spot for a few years now, never really had a true big to back up Yao. I think we can get a better look at what Houston can do now they have a true 5, especially if they keep Scola around to man the 4 spot.

December 12, 201114 yr Clippers will be giving up a ton. It would be a bad decision. I agree, they have young talent to build on. I do see no way the Hornets don't trade Paul. He's made it clear he will test free agency and they won't just let him go for free.

December 12, 201114 yr Clippers will be giving up a ton. It would be a bad decision. Maybe not with Butler on board. Gordon is a great young 2 guard on the verge of having numerous all-star type years but if you can get Chris Paul and team him up with Griffin, Caron Butler and the rest of what they have it makes it not as bad. Paul is obviously the better player, would hurt to lose your best young prospect (outside of Griffin) but it would hurt even more to have that prospect get out of his contract and decide he wants to leave LAC once his deal ends. Now that they have made the deal to get Butler I think the Clippers will be alright no matter what they do. If they can keep Griffin and Gordon around they will be good going forward for years to come. If they make the deal for CP3, they will be good for the next couple of years.
