How about a hand for the job Rick Wood and company have done turning Glasgow around?

They are where they were expected to be.

Except they were 0-10 a couple years ago!

Wow, making it to this point is definitely a major accomplishment whether or not they were expected to make it this far then. Congratulations to the team and its fans/supporters.

Congratulations to Coach Wood and the Scotties. Stories like this are what makes high school football so much fun to follow. Glasgow has a great history, but had fallen on hard times. Coach Wood and staff has brought them back in a big way in a hurry.

Other than the 3A game that my Pirates are playing in, I am looking forward to the 2A game most of all. I think it will be a barn burner and I am really looking forward to watching both Glasgow and Covington Holy Cross.

What is Coach Wood's resume? Didn't he coach Morgan County for a few years and basically turn them around in a big way too?

Totally agree with you. Any coach that can turn a 0-10 team into a state finalist is a few years is one heck of a good coach. Congrats to Coach Wood, his assistant coaches, the players and the team's supporters.

I believe that was Randy Wood who was at Morgan County and then went to West Jessamine, and did well at both places.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Rick Wood has some connection to Warren Central before he went to Glasgow. I could be wrong.

Congrats to Coach Wood. I had the chance to meet and spend some time talking football last yr during the Best of the Bluegrass game where he was one of the coaches.

A soft spoken, down to earth guy that knows this game and knows it well. My son really enjoyed the experience and what Coach was able to bring to the table.

Good Luck Glasgow.

Hats off to Coach Rich Wood for turning Glasgow's program around. Rich has did good things at Edmonson Co. and Warren Central. Have known Coach Wood for a good number of years and besides being a good coach he is also a fine man. As a Monroe Co. Falcon will be pulling for Coach Wood and Glasgow this Friday and hope for a big win for them.
