It's an exception based upon YOUR experience. Maybe some of our experiences are different than that. You seem to want to use your personal experience as the barometer, yet meanwhile ignoring a documented example of the exact type of situation I and many others are referring to.

I also don't see how this has to be subjective, as has been discussed you can make a very objective guideline to take care of the issue. Finally, cwf has already pointed out that the regulations many of us our asking for aren't new and are in fact already in place by several airlines.

IF, and I mean IF there can be an objective way to make the determination definitively, utilizing something other than personal preference, I would likely be supportive. But most of the reasons explained here in this thread don't hold up to the objectivity test.

:lol: Why in the world in a topic of whether or not an overweight person should have to buy multiple seats on a plane, should I divulge into my feelings towards obese or overweight people? You'll notice that I didn't go into that until you made an ignorant comment about me. At that point, I clearly stated my position. I never once said "I have no sympathy for overweight people". I said I don't have sympathy for those that are overweight because of THEIR poor choices.

If you'd like to report the post, go ahead. I'm not above the rules at all. I don't think I made it "personal" in a way that was attacking you. I feel like I gave an opinion based upon the words you posted.

You could always just "Occupy" the lavatory and explain to everyone that it's the only seat available.

That's an excellent idea and probably what he should have done. I bet this would have quickly been solved, especially after cocktails are served.
