^ I hear you, Jumper Dad.

 

He is pretty good at Coach-Speak. He is also a very smart interview, he will never say anything that might get posted on someone's locker room wall. He is so low key and so oriented towards just focusing on one week at a time, though, that I believe he is giving his honest opinion on that. His philosophy has always been let's improve on last week, get a little better this week and if we can do that and learn from every game, by the end of the year we will be where we want to be. Belfry teams usually start pretty slow, but it is hard to argue with their results because more often than not, they peak very late and play their best ball in the playoffs.

Coach Haywood will be going for his 350th win this week.

 

That won't be mentioned or focused on, but it is a milestone.

Probably my last post this week as I set out for travel.

 

I want to wish Good Luck to Garrard County and hope that everyone gets to witness a competitive, well officiated, well executed game that is free of injuries.

 

I already know you are all very proud of your team, and win or lose I just want to say that I tip my hat to your program and think that this won't be your last Semi-Final appearance with the coach you have. I challenge you to continue to show your support and build off of it in the seasons to come. Belfry is the perfect example of what a football program can achieve when you have a great coach and the entire community supporting the team. Success breeds success!

 

As for the game itself, I anticipate Garrard to come out and give Belfry all they care to handle. I think ultimately Belfry's depth, size, and big game experience prove to be the difference though.

 

I'll take Belfry 33-20. In a game that stays within a TD until the 4th Quarter.

Belfry will prove to be too much for the Golden Lions. 49-7
