Really Frankfort stands no chance in this game. IMO Beechwood should haul out of 1A and as they say "go pick on somebody your own size!" Beechwood, Mayfield and also Hazard should think about moving up to 2A. If they really want competition. It's too easy every year we have Mayfield, Beechwood, Hazard. Just like we had Danville Newport Central Catholic...LCA. Hence they all did the right thing and moved up one class improving their program a lot. Frankfort is a 1A school, Beechwood is a 1A school with 2A maybe even 3A talent. Frankfort you might want to recruit like 6'0" 250 pound solid lineman and a nice 6'0" fast throwing on the run quarterback if you are ever to to win state. Beechwood will always dominate Frankfort. Move out Mayfield, Hazard, Beechwood and let the 1A schools iwith 1A talent really compete for a state title and let the big boys move up and try to win in their own class they should be in. Anyways Beechwood 57-0. Frankfort will be no threat, Beechwood's Cameron Vocke is a human highlight behind his big bruising lineman.

Question Eye..........Does 2A have better players than 1A? How much difference in talent is there really LOL. I never knew Beechwood and Mayfield had 2A talent.

Well..... I read these post on a weekly basis and never have responded because it seems like everyone has it figured out. I will say that no one questions how good Beechwood or Mayfield may be year in and year out. But...... What in the world does having 1A or 2A talent mean? I could understand if you said 1A-2A numbers, but talent. Does this mean there are only good players in 3A-6A?

 

i will submit to a team having more talent than another, and certainly a 6a has the opportunity at having more talented players. Most of these 1A and 2a teams have kids that not only could play on a 6A team, but could fine their way on to a D2,D1AA or D1 roster. The only real difference i see is the law of averages would say that a 6A team with more numbers has a better chance of having one of these kids.

 

 

Ultimately, a great program is a great program at whatever level, you will find the better 1a schools winning every year against teams from higher classes. But do not overlook Frankfort for the next 2 or 3 years, because they are loaded with talent, however young, and they may win more than people think possible. I know I read about how Bellevue could name their score, and how they would win easily as well. In the end, none of us know what a bunch os 15-19 year olds can do on a given Friday night. Especially when things are starting to click

I recall a few people saying that Bellevue had a good chance of winning. I don't recall anyone saying they could "Name the Score" That would be stupid given Frankfort's history. Other than a few bonehead fans, I can assure you that no one in Tigerland is looking past Frankfort.

There is a thread on BGP that has addresses in it but Frankfort's stadium address is not listed. The field is not at the high school. It is on the west side of town not far from the convention center.

Was Quan Weaver on that team also ... I guess maybe a junior or perhaps sophomore? He was a blur. Two best athletes Beechwood has faced in the 6 class era - Quan Weaver and Xavier Shelton. Weaver signed with UL I believe. What happened to him? Is he at UL? Going on talent, both of those guys should be starting for a D1 team somewhere.

First let me say Eye in the Sky is not a Frankfort fan.

 

Frankfort doesn't want Beechwood or Mayfield to go anywhere. Frankfort Prides itself on trying to build programs like those two. When we win a Class A title we want to have beaten one or both. Wouldn't want it any other way.

 

Looking forward to the game Friday. We will give Beechwood everything we have. If that is good enough to win then Great. If not we will start working on Saturday on beating them in 2012. No matter who, when or where Frankfort plays we expect to win!
