Way to go Bubba and the Generals...Congrats on the win!!!!!!

Pretty good season for Campbell. Not sure what they have coming back next year, but they have plenty of momentum to build on.

They lose a lot especially OL & DL but they have some good players coming up. Coach Lickert and staff will have them ready.

So proud of this team. They could have given up after going 0 - 5 but they did not. It says a lot about the young men who play on this team.

I agree, I'm sure that there will be plenty of optimism going in to the next season. Congratulations to the Camels on a nice season.

Optimism is very high in the County for next season! Congratulations to Coach Lickert on a great season. Your passion for our kids and CC Camel football is unparalled!

Good Luck to the Lafayette Generals as they advance in the playoffs. I was impressed with the good sportsmanship that I witnessed following the game by #5 Bubba Johnson. I watched as he approached several Camel Seniors (playing at Bob Miller Stadium for the last time) long after the game had concluded and gave them a hug or handshake. Classy player!

The only thing I was disappointed in last night was the small crowd. You'd think 2nd round home playoff games were common in Alexandria. Hopefully the people in the southern half of the county can get behind these kids and very good coach going forward. Nice season for the Camels far better than most were expecting. The Generals were big and physical up front on defense and it kept the Camels from getting there running game going. I was very impressed with Bubba Johnson he can carry the rock.

The opening night for the play was Friday night as well so that could have something to do with it but I doubt it. I wish more people would support the teams but there just is not, I simple do not get it.

Even though the freshman team did not have a stellar year I am excited to see what they bring to the program next year because there are some good ones coming up. The future in my opinion looks bright in Camel Land!

Exciting year Camels. Thanks for all the hard work Camels, COach Lickert and your staff.

That's surprising. On our long drive home from from Ashland we were talking about much we like the Campbell County atmosphere and their crowd.

There was a nice crowd last week but this week there were empty seats everywhere. I don't know what the problem was, the cold, someone mentioned a play, UK's home opener. Whatever it was it is sad IMO but typically there is a healthy amount of support.

For the record, if you think you're a high school football fan and you stayed home to watch UK against a terrible Marist you're NOT a high school football fan. DVR the game and support your community!
