Apparently Jones was really fired up and very unhappy with WLEX for reporting that he had been drinking. It's his word vs. "sources". I'm biased but I think I lean towards Jones on this one.

 

How many time have you been out at 2:30 riding as a passenger in a car when you weren't drunk or had been drinking?

That's one of the things that came to mind as well. Things that make you go Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!

 

I guess I'll mosey over to the thread about Bama's Trent Richardson's 2007 Yukon thread and see if any UK fans posted on how Trent had this 4 year old car. So, I wonder who owned this caddy, and whose name it was in, I'd like to see the accident report...but on the other hand I trust its ok and not gonna to stir up pots, just not my nature because I remember how I felt when folks were going to town on Trent's car, which wasn't in an accident.

He brought that on himself when he left. Didn't the cops say he appeared to be slightly intoxicated and that he left because he didn't want Coach Cal find out?

I just don't think that Jones had an obligation to "stay at the scene" of the accident. If he wasn't injured and had been drinking, what would every other 20 year old kid do? Leave the scene so dad won't find out, and in this case, "dad'' is Coach Cal. :ylsuper:

It was Trent's car that he owned. Who loaned a Caddy out? It was his own car. You have on idea who that guy is and his background. His parents could be extremely wealthy. I have no idea who that kid is other than a friend of Jones.

Who the heck loaned out a caddy? Sure if my friends were willing to be my DD all night they could drive my caddy.

You do realize the guy who was driving the Caddy, with Jones as a passenger, is the guy who owned the car right?

 

No clue where you're going with the whole "loaned out a Caddy" bit. No one loaned anyone anything.

Incidentally, am I remiss to want to speculate how an unemployed sophomore is in possession of a brand-spanking new Cadillac Escalade?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the cops reported Jones and being intoxicated one way or the other. I think that came from WLEX saying that "a source" said he appeared intoxicated.

Neither player was driving. The driver was Jones' friend from out of town. And I believe he was driving his vehicle.
