Hmmm this sounds familiar. A QB having a hard time connecting with Ocho Cinco causing passes to sail high because of routes Ochocinco took. This is what is said by someone after the last game.

 

The situation: Fourth quarter, 9:13: 1st-and-15 @ NY 44. Ocho stumbles on out route in best chance of day to connect.

 

The blame game: Receiver. Ochocinco gets away with a push off, but stumbles trying to come out of the break and Brady's pass sails a bit wide. Hey, maybe it's better than completing the pass and getting flagged for offensive pass interference.

The blame game: Receiver. Ochocinco does a nice job selling the run as Brady sprints out, but it seems like No. 12 was expecting Ochocinco to run that route higher at the safety, and he squared it off a bit towards the sideline, forcing the pass to sail high.

 

FINAL ANALYSIS

 

Both Brady and Ochocinco will cringe a bit at film review today while noting missed opportunities. Three of those passes (excluding targets No. 1 and 5) were catchable and something small detoured each one. Both players have to avoid letting frustration disrupt what they're doing. There's potential to build off here, but until these two connect on a big play, they simply can't seem to get the snowball rolling.

Man you sound like you did in the preseason jumping the gun based on early results. You jumped the gun on the Bengals saying how they will basically completely suck, because they looked bad in the preseason. And now your jumping the gun on Palmer, because you think your point is proven since he threw three interceptions again in his third week. Your pretty good at also ignoring the facts that some of the stuff I said were not just "excuses" as you liked to call them when taking about Palmer. Yeah I realize that. Just wanted to make sure you know how good you are at making quick decisions about things before letting anything play out.

^I'm not making a quick decision on anything. I've had 8 years of evidence. Palmer is no where close to being a good QB in the NFL. He's average at best, more appropriately mediocre.

I thought it was to show that with Ocho running the wrong routes, but now being called out by people about it unlike while he was still here, even the great Tom Brady can't complete passes to him. I have never and would never say that CP gets none of the blame. He is obviously not as good as he was. I've always said part of that might be b/c his receivers free lanced routes. Part of it too is he's just not that good anymore.

Dilfer watched the game film of the Raiders/Broncos game and said Palmer's INTs broke down as 1 great play by a corner, 1 where the receiver screwed up, and 1 really bad throw. He said Palmer had about 8 top-level throws.

 

We can't use picks as a measuring stick. Otherwise, Alex Smith would be considered the #1 QB.
