November 8, 201114 yr Question: Should Stanford or Oklahoma State, if they finish undefeated, play LSU in the title game? And, if so, why? OK State I would imagine. I think Stanford would give them a better game though.
November 9, 201114 yr OK State I would imagine. I think Stanford would give them a better game though. Do you think either of those teams are better than Alabama?
November 9, 201114 yr Arkansas beats LSU. Oregon beats Stanford. Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State. Woah Nellie!
November 9, 201114 yr Western Kentucky beats LSU, Bama beats Mississippi State, Georgia Southern beats Bama...Any body see the Bama/Auburn ESPN film?
November 9, 201114 yr Author Western Kentucky beats LSU, Bama beats Mississippi State, Georgia Southern beats Bama...Any body see the Bama/Auburn ESPN film? Yeah and watching it again @ 11 on ESPN 2. This game is over and done with...the only way Bama still has a chance is to look ahead and take care of business the rest of the way. They can't control anything else.
November 9, 201114 yr Arkansas beats LSU. Oregon beats Stanford. Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State. Woah Nellie! A lot of people in Idaho would be ecstatic if this were to happen.
November 9, 201114 yr A lot of people in Idaho would be ecstatic if this were to happen. Why? Oklahoma would play Bama for the title....
November 9, 201114 yr I think Alabama is going to start dropping in the BCS rankings after this week. They are getting a big boost from a victory over a one loss Penn State team that could potentially not win another game the rest of the season and games against Miss St and Georgia Southern are not going to help them either. If Stanford beats Oregon this week they should jump Bama as the two are very close right now. The scenerio that most are not talking about is if Arkansas is able to go to LSU and pull off the upset, then things will get real interesting. There is still a lot of football to be played!
November 9, 201114 yr Why? Oklahoma would play Bama for the title.... If there is any scenario for Boise to get in it is for the currently undefeated automatic qualifier teams to lose. No guarantee that Oklahoma would jump all of Boise, Oregon, Stanford, and LSU if three of the four lose.
November 9, 201114 yr If there is any scenario for Boise to get in it is for the currently undefeated automatic qualifier teams to lose. No guarantee that Oklahoma would jump all of Boise, Oregon, Stanford, and LSU if three of the four lose. They would absolutely jump Boise. Look at the rankings. No chance a win @#2 OKState wouldn't boost them over Boise.
November 9, 201114 yr Absolutely not. So, are we okay with an undefeated Stanford playing LSU instead of Alabama playing them? In that scenario, we're not getting the two best teams either.
November 9, 201114 yr The only thing we all know for sure is that LSU is better than Alabama and Oregon because they beat them on the field. That is the only way to determine if one team is better than the other. This whole thing about Stanford and Oklahoma State not being as good as LSU/Alabama is all opinion based and speculation. I am not in favor of the rematch because LSU has already beaten Alabama and in my opinion should not have to do it again. If the rematch happens and Alabama wins, how can you say Alabama's the National Champions, when everyone knows they lost to LSU on their own field. If LSU would have lost on the road, I would be more inclined to vote for a rematch.
November 9, 201114 yr They would absolutely jump Boise. Look at the rankings. No chance a win @#2 OKState wouldn't boost them over Boise. Few things in life are absolute and the BCS certainly isn’t one of them. Two thirds of the BCS rankings are made up of polls and if all of the undefeated teams lose it’s a tossup as to how all of the voters will vote.
November 9, 201114 yr A lot of people in Idaho would be ecstatic if this were to happen. True. The thing is that they are all possible outcomes. Not probable but certainly possible.
