Understood, but the Rowan County squad at 8-2 is a step beyond what the Colonels have seen in round 1, in year's past.

Have you seen Wing play? Did you see him in the Sweet 16 in basketball last season? I'd say anyone that has Division I offers in both basketball and football is a great athlete. They didn't say he was a better football player.

Rowan County sports star Adam Wing has changed his mind and will play basketball instead of football in college.

 

Wing, a 6-foot-4 junior who was sensational in leading Rowan County to a runner-up finish in the Sweet Sixteen in March, called Oklahoma State basketball coach Travis Ford Tuesday night to commit to the Cowboys.

 

Wing, who's also a standout quarterback at Rowan County, made a football commitment to Marshall in early April, but that was before Ford put on a full-court recruiting press.
