Edmonson County is having a spectacular season. Can they keep rolling? Seems they have a touch match up next in Fort Campbell.

The Fort should handle Edmonson. FC is a very athletic, physical team that plays great on D

I gotta stay true to my team and go with the Falcons. I've heard the good things about Edmonson, but I've also heard that they've played a weak schedule.

Falcons by no more than three touchdowns.

Later.

Falcons will win this one but it will not be easy. Edmonson has a good ball club, but not the same caliber as the Falcons of FC! Mistakes will determine how this one turns out...Go Falcons!!!

Both Monroe County and Butler County just took Edmonson County to overtime, and both games were at Edmonson. Fort Campbell is a better team than those two, so I expect the Falcons to win by a touchdown or two.

FC will end a great season for Edmonson Co. Would love for an "All Falcon regional championship", but Monroe has a decent hurdle to jump in PT. Good luck to FC.

Ft. Campbell 28-7.

Everything I’ve heard and read is that Edmonson County is a run first, run second, and usually run third type team. This should play into Fort Campbell’s defensive strength since they are better against the run than against the pass. Edmonson does have home field advantage and comes into this game undefeated, but they’ve had to win in overtime against their better opponents.

Fort Campbell comes in at 7-4 having lost to two top five 5A teams, a decent TN 5A team, and Paducah Tilghman. In 3 of their 4 losses FC either led in the 3rd quarter or was within one score, but failed to finish strong. However, they have won their last four games by a total of 226-0, but all four were against weak competition. One major concern, at least last week, is turnovers. I believe the Falcons turned the ball over 6 times and although they still won 41-0 I doubt that would be the case against Edmonson or any 3rd or 4th round team. With the exception of turnovers, the Falcon offense is looking good with Hills at QB and several receivers who are really starting to make some plays.

The keys to the game for Fort Campbell will be to not turn the ball over and stop Edmondson’s potent running attack. If they do that I believe the Falcons win by at least a TD.

Edmonson County Wildcats

Last Week: defeated Heath 62-7

All-Time Second Round Record: 3-3

Fort Campbell Falcons

Last Week: defeated South Warren 41-0

All-Time Second Round Record: 8-5

**Second round began in 1991**

Past Playoff Meetings

1996 - Edmonson County 24 Fort Campbell 21

1997 - Edmonson County 15 Fort Campbell 8 (OT)

2005 - Fort Campbell 58 Edmonson County 0

Fort Campbell should win easily. Interesting to note that Fort Campbell did not give up a single point the entire month of October.

Again....I always wonder why some people think that E County will beat the Falcons. There have been plenty of people that have given opinions why they think that the Falcons will beat them.....but three people voted for the Wildcats and didn't explain why. Granted, there's no right or wrong answer to this question.....but an explanation sparks healthy debate. And I'm curious.

Really? A "decent"hurdle? Please take PT for granite. It will be the last team Monroe does this season.

I hope you are correct Scribe.

Coach McKillip has the defense playing superb football right now. The Paducah Tilghman game convinced McKillip to move some personnel around. After a season and a half, we got the right players in the right position.

On offense, Coach Berner moving Aaron Hills back to QB has changed the whole dynamic of the team.

We want to take care of business at Edmonson and then get another shot at PT.

I don't think SEMPERFIFALCON was taking PT for granite. He, along with most of us, know that the road to Bowling Green first requires getting off at Exit #7 in Paducah and facing a superb PT squad.
