JJ Jude Sets State Rushing Record

Featured Replies

I'm glad this escapade is over next year. I congratulate the kid for his performance. I think the coach is a joke, who mocks the spirit of the game. Travesty.

I am sure there is alot of people that is tired of Trinity too but you don't like it when it gets brought up. If you have a problem with the coach send him an email and let him know, I am pretty sure his email is on KHSAA. Don't come on a thread that is giving a high school player some well deserved recognition and put negative comments. I am sure that I could come up with J.J.'s father's email address if you want to send him an email telling him how you feel about his son's record.

^ Racking up a vast amount of yardage against undermanned teams is grossly unimpressive. I saluted JJ for his hard work. I am sure he's a great young man. I hate that records fell because of agenda and purpose. Paint me as a bad guy, I am cool with that. Records are, indeed, made to be broken, BUT, I have more respect for those that are broken on a more even keel.

Call or email the coach with your concerns, don't hide on here, if you feel so strongly about how the JC program is run, contact the coach or the player's parents. Tell them your concerns about how their son got a record. I can tell you this, you won't find a more classy kid that stays out of trouble and has one of the best work ethics that I have ever seen for a high school player. So, don't cheapen his accomplishments with your comments about the JC way of doing things.

I have no questions about JJ. I salute his efforts. I hide from nothing. My record on this site is indicative of that. Racking up junk yardage against lesser opponents is classless. That is without debate. Again, hate me or my posts. I always call a spade a spade, even when it is against my own team. Can you not see how this is against sportsmanship?

Every time I've seen a thread about this guy you've been in it complaining. I don't know anything about Jude or his school, but I'm happy for him. He didn't cheat to get here and neither did his school. I think it takes an incredible amount of talent to do what he did, no matter who they played. I'm happy for him. You can say you're mad about his coach, or whatever you want, but you're bitter about it. You're bitter about a high school kid breaking a record.

^ I am not bitter about a kid breaking a state record. I am bitter in that it happened at the expense of another kid (now an adult). I salute JJ. He seems to be an awesome young man. I think the manner that "said" record was broken, is without class. The sport is not played to break records, it's to win ballgames, and to do so with some honor and respect towards your opponents. The achievements are ancillary.

OK really, Trinity is the #1 team in the nation and the only people on here questioning an individual player breaking a state record are Trinity fans? Really? Give JJ and Johnson Central their due. Whether you like it or not. If you can't say something nice maybe you shouldn't say anything at all mr. #1 Nationally.

^ Me being a fan of Trinity, has nothing to do with it. Imagine if I were a fan of Holmes. Would my argument hold more weight? Do you not see the hypocrisy in breaking records, by railing inferior opponents?

I don't think anyone wants to belittle J.J. Jude's hard work and accomplishment. However the tactics his coach used to help him get there were less than commendable. And in truth, he probably could have set the record without that kind of interference.

No. It doesn't hold weight as it is.

I knew someone with more intellect than me, could vocalize my disdain in a better fashion than I.

Amen, sister....lol

I love it. Trinity wins 72-0 and it's ok. JC wins 66-20 and Trinity fans complain about a record being set during THAT game? Really? Geez.................... Pot meet kettle.

No. It doesn't hold weight as it is.
Why?

Do you know the fashion of our 72-0 win? What should we have done? Play our 3's from jump street? That's a very weak comparison.
