Nice win by the Juggs but did I just see in the paper their QB said " Bring on the Breds" I like the excitement, but you do not want to give the defending state champion any billboard material this week. Bad move there!! Think before you speak, thats what my parents always told me!

Congrats to all the Lloyd players and coaches! First shut out for the new staff! Walton has a very good team but like I said in several threads, this is a different Lloyd team when all is healthy and they proved it last night. The 50 defense threw the bearcats off!! They did not know what to do. That is the bad thing about being one dimensional. Lloyd didn't run the ball much at all but had it when they needed it. So many kids for Lloyd had a great game, to many to name..Congrats to Walton on a great season.

I disagree. It depends on who says it and by all accounts this kid is not only a leader on the team he is a leader in the school. Why not say it? Why not show some of your teammates that the leader is ready to go?

 

NCC doesn't ever need bulletin board material.

I believe NewCath won 45-14 earlier this season, just dont think its a good idea to call out a team who spanked you in a public forum. In the locker room with your team sure, not in the open. It will fire up the Breds for sure 60-0 and they will be hitting that kid hard all night for sure.

Walton beat Lloyd 42-14 earlier this season and Lloyd was able to answer when it counted. The Juggs put up over 300 yards of offense against the Breds, (263 in the air) but failed to punch it in when needed and had several mistakes and turnovers. This is a different Lloyd team and they will have to bring the A game to take down a team like the Breds..One thing for sure they will come to play!:thumb:

Congrats to Lloyd. The game looked like a roll reversal from the last game. Lloyd switched to 50 defense and seemed to out muscle the Bearcats at times. Tough loss for a great group of seniors.

A big congratulations and thanks to the Bearcat seniors for all you've done to build the Walton-Verona program! Good luck in your future endeavors. Don't forget to continue to support and mentor the guys who are following in your footsteps. Underclassmen: Learn from this experience, work your butts off (starting now) and come out twice as motivated to win next season!

Big, big difference between Walton and NCC. Lloyd's season ends next week. Still glad to see the victory over WV though.:thumb:

Its been a long time since Lloyd could celebrate a big win. They are excited to be where they are this year and I am happy the emotions are coming back to the Lloyd program has not been there for sometime. No matter what happens next week you can hold your heads up and be proud you seniors have stuck it out through the thick and thin of it. Right they should be afraid of a powerhouse like NCC? This is exactly why the team leader would set the tone for the team immediately. The frame of mind is not "oh no, NCC", its "Bring 'em on"! I love it!

I love this mentality. I like it when people are not afraid to speak out in public and express what they truly feel, even if they are an underdog.

Make no mistake this game came down to coaching lloyd learned from the first match up and changed there defense and was going to make Walton throw the ball and Walton coaches were to stubbern to change up the game plan, sad really. Walton threw the ball two times until the last minutes and both were for there only first downs, I was a little confused on why not do it more if its there.
