Why wouldn't it? They are going to play 8 conference games, like any other 12 team conference. You only have 5 opponents in your division.

SEC teams have 5 division opponents yet do not play every team in the other division.

Teams are looking for home games against non-conference teams.

That doesn't leave room to play the other division's entire group.

^ I'm hopeful that something could be worked out to ensure that UofL-UC is played every year.

If the Big Ten can accommodate Ohio State/Michigan, the Big East can certainly find a way to make the battle over the barrel of nails happen.

Correct, but I believe the SEC is set up so that certain teams from each division play each year.

^ That article mentions BYU. Is there a significant discussion about that at this point? It would be nice to bring in a large western contingent all at once with Boise, BYU and Air Force if such a thing is possible.

Yes BYU is the target team to replace WVU. There is a lot of logistics involved that make things very complicated, but as a football only member I think they can work it out as long as there is that core of teams for them to play out west...

UC and UL will play every year if they are split up...
