^ FMKYW, I agree with the 2nd part without a doubt.

I actually think I'd enjoy baseball more than football if it weren't for the boom of fantasy football in recent years. That has definitely made it more enjoyable for me. Oh, and give me baseball all day over college football.

I try to like baseball.. I really, really do. And a night like we had a few weeks ago with Rays/Yankees, Orioles/Red Sox, etc. is almost enough to make me become a believer. But I haven't watched the first pitch since. It's a mental block.

My kind of guy. I forgot all about the driving aspect, good call. I may point out that it's "really hot" during the summer but I don't complain about it as I know what the alternative is. I'm pretty steadfast in my belief that cold weather stinks.

I had snow on there, but I love to ski (I'm a conflicted person). Other than that though snow is pretty awful.

I think Bill Hicks said it best: "What are you... a lizard? Only reptiles like this kind of weather. I'm a mammal; I can afford coats, scarves, cappuccino and rosy-cheeked women."

I actually find football to be quite boring. I'm not 100% postive but I believe if you break it down there is less "active" time in football than baseball.

Speaking of these two sports and getting back closer to the theme of the thread. Going to a baseball game is INFINITELY better than going to a football game. Not close. No argument.

What baseball games are you watching? Ever hear a baseball player say they left it all out on the field? teasing_smiley_sticking_out_tongue.gif

Can't say I've ever been revved up at a baseball game. Football? YES!

I prefer my women to be tan and wearing a bikini. You can have the coat-wearing eskimo!

Actually I have a #8:

8. No Bikinis - This shouldn't need an explanation.

11 Minutes of Action...

Yep, that's an exciting game there.

I wouldn't mind the snow, if our local gov'ts could figure out how to clear roads. Someone mentioned cold bathroom floors. There's something else that gets cold in there that can be quite a shocker

Cool. Dibs.

OK, so I'm tread jacking a bit.

Reasons football is better than baseball:

Baseball fans fill out box scores in their programs or play backgammon to keep themselves busy awake.

Your grandmother likes baseball and she knits at the game.

An outfielder can chat with fans and give them high fives during play. Yeah, it's a tough game.

Marching bands or Cheerleaders vs. an old lady hitting three keys on a church organ...are you kidding me?

A Walter Payton highlight film.

No football game was ever halted by an invasion of flying insects.

No five-hour games. Other than pitching purists, who really enjoys an 18-inning 2-1 game?

Football players don`t mind getting dirty. Baseball players start wiping off their uniforms as soon as they hit the dirt.

In bad weather, football players suffer along with the fans. Baseball players duck into the dugout or dry off in the clubhouse.

And number one....You can`t throw snowballs at umpires.

Fall and winter suck and they suck bad.

1. It's cold. Nothing sucks more than wearing pants, long and thick socks, long sleeve shirt, hoodie, coveralls and a thick coat just to stay warm. I work outside and that is my dress code from November-March. I hate being cold.

2. It's even colder when it rains. It already sucks when it is cold. It's even worse wet. And even worse when your feet are wet.

3. I hate hockey. Nothing worse than having hockey dominate the top ten on Sportscenter. I guarantee there are 10 better basketball plays each night than the best hockey play.

4. Snow and ice. I hate having to drive slow and I also hate the dummies who drive fast in the snow because we all need to be driving slow when snow and ice are on the ground. I hate laying salt on the sidewalk so I don't fall on black ice at 6 in the morning making the 5 second trek to my car.

5. It's cold. Nothing good about being cold. Makes me a bitter bitter human being. Makes lips chapped. My hands cold. It is easier and quicker to cool down than it is to warm up. Winter and fall blow. Big time.

I love Thanksgiving though. And football. And basketball. And yeah, going to a baseball game is a lot of fun but watching it on tv is awful.

Start that thread and I'll give you plenty of reasons.

I knew there was a reason I liked you!

I generally like autumn, but I just can't handle winter. The cold is absolutely depressing. This is the worst kind of winter day: there's snow on the ground, the roads are clear but are covered in that disgusting brown slush, and the sun is out in a completely blue sky. Days like that tempt me to buy a one way ticket to the equator.

3. I hate hockey. Nothing worse than having hockey dominate the top ten on Sportscenter. I guarantee there are 10 better basketball plays each night than the best hockey play.

It's like this thread was designed to just cut me right to the core. This is harsh stuff guys.
