Let's hear the five things you hate about fall/winter. If you like these seasons then there is no place for you in this thread. Also, more than five is welcome but we need at least five.

1. People who talk about how they can't wait for "fall weather" and all the pretty colors - I do not see anything appealing about it; it's cold, wet and dark. Unless you grew up dreaming of dark and dreary castles then I can't see an appeal here. It's hard to notice any colors when it looks like a sequel to The Third Man is being filmed.

2. Inside heat is undeniably less gratifying than A/C - Nothing beats walking inside on a hot day and getting blasted by the A/C. The heat on the other hand is dry and overbearing. During fall/winter I struggle between feeling like I'm going on an Antartic expedition and being stuck in the Sahara.

3. There is no equivalent to "jumping in the water" to cool off - I have never heard of anyone taking a leisurely "swim through the fire". In fact, it's even worse that I can't comfortably swim outside.

4. Waking up sucks - Because I have to sleep with a fan and I can't stand the dry heat I usually sleep with the heat off and the fan blowing. So I wake up feeling like I'm in the movie Alive and I'll soon have to start cannabalizing the neighbors in order to survive. I already struggle with getting up on a work days and this doesn't help any.

5. Cold bathroom floors - Seriously, worst thing ever. Nothing compares to the misery of cold tile on bare feet...

6. Christmas - Yep, I said it. Christmas blows. You can't go anywhere because it's always crowded with "holiday shoppers" out spreading their Christmas cheer. The Christmas food isn't nearly as good as summer staples and egg nog is quite possibly the worst substance known to man. There is a reason it's called "Christ"mas music and not holiday music---because it's very closely related to the worst genre of music known to man...Contemporary Christian.

7. Baseball is over and football begins - This is pretty self-explanatory, but baseball is clearly superior to football. With the explosion of popularity in football it's even more annoying having to hear about the "team of the week" and why your crappy fantasy football team lost by a FG on MNF, yet again.

*As an aside. Wrestling and basketball both need to move to the summer. This was a mistake that needs fixing.

That's all for now. But let me think on it and I'm sure more will come.

1) People complaining about winter...

Sorry... that was mean. I love winter. All the best sports take place during the winter. Basketball, hockey and soccer are all readily available in just a few weeks.

I love basketball. But I think it needs to be moved to summer and played outside. Hockey I admittingly don't understand. Don't get me started on soccer, that could be another thread in itself.

This one's for you former...

... and yes, I deliberately put up video from a Christmas special because you said you hate Christmas. Also, Christmas is great. I don't know where, but I understand you live somewhere in my neighborhood and you're totally getting caroled at this December.

1. It's cold.

2. People can't drive during the winter.

3. Going along with #2, people call in at work in mass numbers and it creates that much more work on me.

4. The people that can't wait for it to be cold and then complain about how they can't wait for it to be warm.

5. Snow in general.. hate it.

My kind of guy. I forgot all about the driving aspect, good call. I may point out that it's "really hot" during the summer but I don't complain about it as I know what the alternative is. I'm pretty steadfast in my belief that cold weather stinks.

I had snow on there, but I love to ski (I'm a conflicted person). Other than that though snow is pretty awful.

Give me LOTS and LOTS of snow! I love it!

What I hate about fall and winter?

People that want summer.

I can't see it yet. Christmas is for real my least favorite holiday. I ask every year why we can't forego gifts and all just go somewhere warm for Christmas. Let me celebrate Christmas by eating lobster on the beach and I might start to enjoy it.

Wow are we ever polar opposites! Right down to baseball over football! How in the world can ANYONE choose a boring game like baseball over an exciting game like football? :D

1. Snow

2. People that can't drive in the snow.

3. That it ends. I love being cold, would much rather be cold and have to throw an extra layer or extra blanket on, then be super hot.

Because it's better. Why else?

IF you prefer lullabies over rock music, I guess it might appeal to you more.

I actually find football to be quite boring. I'm not 100% postive but I believe if you break it down there is less "active" time in football than baseball.

Speaking of these two sports and getting back closer to the theme of the thread. Going to a baseball game is INFINITELY better than going to a football game. Not close. No argument.

I do love fall...I could care less about the colors of the leaves, but I like when its about 50-60 out and slightly sunny. Brings back lots of good memories from the fall.

Nothing better than sitting around a bonfire, with good friends, listening to acoustic guitar, sipping on some whiskey and talking football.
