AL, for what it's worth I think that Saban would have com down harder on one of his kids as well. Like you said though, lets hope that we don't have to find out. That goes for any school, some kids/players can't recognoize what an oppurtunit they have been given, others don't care and then there are those that don't have the talent to play at a Bama,LSU and the like that would give anything for a chance that these guys are blowing. If Alabama wasn't playing UT this week and it happened there I think we would hear the "we are awaiting further evidence" excuse and the 3 star players would play and be suspended the following week against Ole Miss or something. If LSU was playing Bama this week I'd bet money that those 3 would play. This week. They should be fine against Auburn.

I think we are all old enough and not naive enough to believe that if the stakes were higher they would play. Happens all of the time. They may have failed these tests a month ago for all we know. Let's be real. I have a hard time believing Saban would try to 'teach a lesson' the week of the most important game of the year.

 

 

Now......I googled synthetic marijuana and read it is something like incense and while it won't cause you to fail a drug test for cannabis it will still cause you to fail a drug test as synthetic marijuana is illegal to smoke. Does anyone else have more knowledge of synthetic marijuana? Sounds pretty stupid to be smoking the stuff.

No, I don't know what Saban would do. I think I know what he or any coach at any big name program would do in that situation with the stakes so high. It is what they should do. I would hope that Jimbo Fisher would do the same for FSU. You can teach them a lesson without costing your team a shot at the national championship.

It wasn't an NCAA drug test. You fail an NCAA drug test and you're out for a year...

Unfortunately, this synthetic weed is becoming a real problem.

Around NKY you can find it at many gas stations and truck stops.

It is packaged in something called Spice. It comes in those packets that look like "pop rocks". It is a real concern for teenagers, particularly because the side effects are so bad.

I believe it has been banned in Ohio.

It is legal and I think you can buy it if you are 18 years or older.

These companies get their product banned and then they change the chemistry of it and redistribute it.

Another one to watch out for is Bath Salts. Its not actual bath salts but a form of incense that is smoked as well.

Very dangerous and teenagers are experimenting with it for the high and it is cheap.
