Sanford and Watson had a heated verbal argument and had to be broken up, but there was never a physical altercation. Watson has been running the offense all week.

Isnt he basically saying something happened but the Louisville papers and journalists are too terrified of the powers there to figure out what happened or to report about what happened? Seems pretty accurate.

Report HOW? No one is going on the record, unless or until Strong does. Until then they'd be reporting rumors that could get them lit up. Aren't UK fans the ones that don't like rumors making it to print, like allegations against recruits from Chicago? And was Jones this opposed to media cowardice when rumors of Billy Clyde tearing it up on the bar scene in Lexington were all over the place while the bloom was still on that rose?

 

In any case, as I understand it Jones specifically said fist fight, so that would not basically be the same thing.

According to CBS Sports, Sanford is gone.

Because Matt Jones says so? That's a laughable reason to believe anything. He'll say anything inflammatory about Louisville because his fans eat it up. Seriously, not exactly an unbiased source.
