October 17, 201114 yr ^ I am hearing the Sanford is indeed out at this point. He has been out unofficially since about the 7th. It was known then and told to the team then.

October 18, 201114 yr I was thinking long about this. Coach Mike has a second year on his contract so money for a while is OK for him, but think about his family. Most coaches lose their jobs after the season, and they can look around for openings, here I think its sad to do it now, at least give him other duties assigned. Maybe Mike wanted to go now, I'm sure he has a network of friends in football. Does his wife work? Is his kids if any in local schools? he will have to wait until the season ends to look. What does ther next coach ask him in the interview about his Louisville job? In Leviticus 16 there is where we first see the word "Scapegoat "is used and why. These coaches nation wide could have the worst jobs, money is great, but you can go at a drop. Good Luck to the Coach. Coach Strong when at Florida after Bama beat them two years ago was almost the Scape goat for Urban. Thats my long point.
October 18, 201114 yr I don't know the terms of his contract, but unless he was fired for "cause," he will probably at least get the rest of this year's salary and maybe receive pay for the entirety of his original contract term. However, there could be a termination clause or similar provision which establishes the amount of "severance pay" due him.
