I do agree with that. My sisters were in my brothers wedding but if the person I marry doesn't want them in their party then I'm by all means ok with that. I look at it as your wedding party is your wedding party. I've heard the discussions where someone feels obligated to put their future spouses siblings in there that they aren't close to. I don't see the point in it.

 

Exactly. It seems like the whole point of having close friends or family in the party is because you want to share the day with them. Having some random other guy hanging around kind of defeats the purpose. One wedding the bride's brother, who no one knew, brought his kids with him for all the pre-wedding stuff so we all had to walk on pins and needles all day long so they didn't see or hear anything too adult. :lol:

13th inning, Reds up by a run. Coco comes in and can't throw a strike. I believe the final numbers on his pitches were 21 balls and 5 strikes. Yet he gets the save. One guy he walks gets thrown out stealing. Then after he walks the bases loaded and is at either 1-1 or 2-1 count, the hitter lines into a game ending double play. The players laughed all the way to the clubhouse on that one, including Coco.

Police officer job, I've been down to the city its in twice now and next week will be my third trip. Then two weeks after that I have to do a psychological evaluation. Neither of which are reasons you want to have to tell people are reasons you didn't get a job lol

Some people say you might as well have them because you know they will always be around the family. Sometimes with friends after a while you don't see them or hear from some of them for whatever reason. I don't agree but that is what I have heard people say in defense of doing that.

When one of my brothers got married, we were all there in the church vestibule in our tuxes, in walks his brother-in-law (not in the wedding party, obviously) wearing his basketball shorts, his good sleeveless t-shirt (you know, the kind with the factory hemmed lack-of-sleeve), and his cleanest pair of 3-year-old Jordans. My brother's face was priceless.

No, the guy's like three times the size of my brother and my brother frankly didn't (doesn't) particularly know him that well. I think that would have made for more family problems than it was worth, really. It was good for a chuckle every time I looked over and saw him sitting right up front in the second pew in church classing up the joint though.

It's been real I'm out guys. Make me proud and at least get to page 5. We would do 10 pages a night back in the day.

I want the people I know the best around me to joke and keep the nerves down. Plus with pictures, prep, etc. the day gets long and drawn out. No reason to add someone in that will only increase the stress levels.

My brother wore his hunting clothes to a friends wedding because he got married on opening day of bow season and he had just came out of the woods. His response was that when you get married during deer season this is appropriate attire. Needless to say many of my friends returned the favor at his wedding. Neither bride got near the enjoyment out of it as we did.
