They probably feel like they played two different teams, a different one each half. Trinity was flat in the first have, on fire in the second half.

 

In the second half, Trinity got there big left tackle Tyler English back. He helped shore up the line, and I don't think Wright got presured in the second half that was the difference. It sure helps having him in there. I hope he is good to go the rest of the year. He is a tough kid, playing on a torn ligament in his ankle. The coaches were holding him out unless they needed him, and when they put him in he did what they needed him to do. Congrats to the ROCKS for another quality win!!

I was at the game. Cathedral is very good and quick. First half was a battle. We all know the game doesn't end in the first half. T was not going to lay down. They are well coached and have far to many athletes that can turn a game around. That showed in the second half.

 

I really enjoy watching Dawkins play. The kid is like Roadrunner. He gets hit by something and just keeps those legs flying in a foward motion. He may not be that big but wow is he tough!

I'm about as layed back as they come. Why are you saying simmer down , calm down,etc , etc .?

 

Some body said that T came out flat , I hate that term. Trinity was up against a team with a very good D. T had the ball on the first posession at the Cathedral 28 yard line and went 3 and out and had to punt . T's next 2 posessions were 3 and out . Qiuck only had the ball thrown to him one time in the first half , what's up with that ?

 

The thing that impressed me , was the fact Cathedral was pulling either the center or guard on their power sweeps , and these guys were around 260 lbs .

It is clear that I have overestimated Trinity. They looked sluggish in the first half but clearly was the Trinity we all know and love in the second half.

 

The game against Moeller is going to be epic....it's a shame Moeller's Coach staff is full of clowns. Oh well.

In T standards I guess you could say they came out flat. I think more so they were challenged by a very good team. They made the adjustments needed and won the game.

I simply enjoy watching football/sports. I also like to support the success (on and off the field) of the young men apart of T and many other teams.

Great win for the ROCKS! Cathedral came in with a great game plan. Well coached!! Our timing was off a bit in the first half. We made some great adjustments at halftime and took care of business. Football has four quarters! Up to this point, Trinity's defense has shut down five very good football teams. Only giving up one offensive TD to the Irish is very impressive. What a great environment last night!! Well... it's on to our Kentucky portion of the schedule. Pride week starts on Monday. I look forward to playing the Tigers at the Pizza Palace on Friday. I said in another thread I thought T would win by 3 scores. And can you really say they were under estimated when they lost by 3 TDs? Was is 70-0 like some were saying, no but it's not like it was a close game.

Cathedral was playing their backup QB due to the starter not being cleared from a concussion until Thursday night. I am told that the backup is a really strong backup but obviously not as good as the starter.

Yes, some Cathedral fans told me at halftime that the QB was second string and was a junior. The reason I was inquiring was that I was impressed with the way he was throwing the ball. He cooled off some the seconbd half but he is a very accurate passer---a lefty.

IMVHO - the Cincy X GAme as well as the Cathedral game were exactly what the Rocks needed. Have them sorely tested. Have them pass the test. Great job Coaches getting ready for the next 1/2 of the season (and there are 3).
