Being a UK fan I hope not, but I wouldn't blame him! Newton is Jokers boy, they ran off a five-star QB recruit in Mossakowski, who by the way threw for 5Td's last wk and ran for 2 more...UK is extremely frustrating to watch!

He's obviously a strong talent and can have great success. However, he will not be thrown to the wolves as a frosh. We UK fans want him to redshirt and learn.

Why do you assume he's better than Cameron Newton? It's very easy to fall into the trap of saying "look how well PT did against Mason County or CCH or ...." and then try to equate that to how Newton is doing against SEC teams with SEC DBs and pass rushers. In other words, it's asinine.

Wow , it might be a sucky program , but he will see the field a lot earlier in his career there , and will have a chance to improve on the sucky program. So you think he should go to a better school , with a better program , then ride the pine for 2 or 3 years , or not even see the field at all. Yea right , that makes sense . PT is a player , he wants to show case his talents , and help his team win games , not watch them win games.

I see no reason he would go elsewhere. He has a great opportunity for early playing time. The way Newton is playing, maybe even as a true freshman. Bridgewater didn't look too bad to me as a true freshman. But, even if not his 1st year, he could possibly redshirt and play as a RS freshman. Plus, UKs WR and RB prospects for the future look much better than they do now and they're loading up on some pretty big and agile OL. Plus, it's still an SEC school where he'll be competing at a top notch level game in, game out. What real competitor doesn't want that and Towles strikes me as a real tough competitor? Not to mention he's from Ky. I'd be more concerned if he weren't from here.
