Tupac Died 15 Years Ago Today

Featured Replies

Ha, ha ... I am with you there.

"First off ....."

Some times I realize how dumb it is that I love the song that probably got Tupac killed .... But it is a pretty good song.

^ A lot of people would agree. One of the best opening lines in any song of all time. I love that song.

I like "Hit Em Up" but I'm a big fan of the slower songs... "Dear Momma", "Life Goes On", "Unconditonal Love", "Brenda's Got a Baby".... Love them all.

Also a big fan of "Starin Through My Rear View" as far as more recent releases go.

Can't say I've heard one I don't like, honestly.. Some less than others though, obviously.

Man....you really need to do the research on that one. He didn't rape that girl. His rape case was more bogus than Kobe Bryant's. He was set up for that by the girl and the guys he was hanging around at the time. No way did Tupac rape that girl. No way.
A jury said he did. As far as the bolded part goes unless you were there no way you can be sure. Too many times people fall in love with a performer/athlete/star and think they really know them. The fact is you never really know what's in someones heart. Even your closest friend. Please don't think I'm a Tupac hater, I could listen to his music all day.

Any one who thinks that Suge Knight is responsible for Tupac's death needs to spend a few minutes listening to "Hit'em Up"

Not real hard to figure out who is responsible after hearing that one.

Agreed on the "final straw" aspect of his death. I'm far from a Tupac historian but in the documentaries I've watched I just got the feeling that him getting tight with Sug led to his eventual demise.

Here's a good documentary on Death Row Records:

You can find the remainder of the doc on Youtube.

A jury acquitted OJ Simpson also.......

It was well known at the time that Tupac never had sex with the girl. His two 'buddies' did. The story goes that Tupac was passed out from weed and alcohol in the room when his two buddies raped the girl. Tupac said the only thing he is guilty of is not protecting her better. I am not claiming to know Tupac but the whole story and subsequent conviction stunk to high heaven.

For the record...

Ray Lewis-guilty of obstruction of justice----he knows who killed those two guys at the club

Tupac-innocent--he didn't rape that chick

Kobe-innocent---he didn't rape that chick either

OJ--guilty as sin

Mike Tyson---guilty as sin

I love all those guys but if you read and follow those stories you can see the truth, IMO.

Hit em Up was the ultimate diss record but I no longer believe that Puff/Biggie had anything to do with Tupac's death. I am more inclined to believe that his death was retaliation from the fight they had earlier in the evening at MGM Grand.

I know a lot of good guys that cuss. :D
I wasn't talking about that part of the song at all. But I think you know that,.

Bingo!

Some boys from biggie's neighborhood tried to kill Pac once, they didn't get the job done. After Pac put them on blast after the shooting talking about how crazy it is they didn't know who shot him when he was shot in one of their neighborhoods and essentially at one of their recording spots. After all the heat he put on them after the incident I truly believe BIG and the rest of the Bad Boy crew laid low after that.

The MGM incident led to Pac's death, after beating down known LA gang member Orlando Anderson in a publically humiliating fashion it's not inconceivable a guy with such tight gang affiliation wouldn't retaliate. Anderson was a member of the southside crips, one of the bigger sets of what was/is the largest American gang.

For those of you interested in Tupac Conspiracy theories.....

Tupac recorded the album, Makavelli "The Seven Day Theory" before his death, but the album was released after his death. While serving his sentence for the sexual assault charge he became enamored by French 16th century political theorist Nicholi Machiavelli. Machiavelli notably faked his own death to later gain a political advantage over his political foes. An inscription on the disc says exit 2pac, enter Makavelli.

Again the Album was tagged "The 7 Day Theory".

Tupac was shot on the 7th day of September.

Pac was in the hospital for 7 days, died on the 7th day.

He died at 4:03 4 + 3 = 7

He was 25 at the time of his death 2 + 5 = 7

Shot exactly 7 months after the release of his double album All Eyez On Me.

The number 7 pops up multiple times on the album, he alludes to the significance of the number 7. The album cover depicts Pac on a cross. The credited producer of the album is simply Simon, a reference to the person who helped Jesus carry his cross.

This is just getting into album coincidences. There are also claims of the famous autopsy photo being faked, saying a known neck tatoo's of 2pac's is missing in the photo. There are dozens upon dozens of other coincidences 2pac conspiracy theorists point out.

Not saying I believe in any of them because frankly I don't know what to think, I would almost guarantee he is dead. Still fascinating though, at least to me anyway.

Great doc. Seen it numerous times, I would recommend it to everyone.

Welcome to Death Row

Tupac Resurrection

Biggie and 2pac

All great documentaries dealing with Death Row Records and Tupac Shakur.

I am under the opinion that all these things were related or relational.

And Clyde ... I think I get the gist of where you are going .... At the end of the day ... Being around Suge may have been the driving force in Tupacs death. I don't think he is responsible .... But he certainly wasn't sitting back and creating peace with Death Row.

Folks, let's be mindful of rule #8. No direct reference to profanity that would circumvent the word filter.
