September 11, 201115 yr Author All week, in both the Baltimore Sun and the Post-Gazette, the articles have been how Flacco can't beat Ben, how the Steelers have been the black hole for the Ravens. I guess that the Steelers all read that crap and thought this one would be less than the normal brawl. They were flat. DLine got abused until the 3rd quarter. Not sure what that was about. And Ben was as bad as I've seen him. Awful. As for the Ravens, Ngata is the best defensive player maybe in the league this season. He may end up the Def.MVP. He's a beast. Shoot, he's a megabeast. Rice is fantastic in every phase of the game. Poor defensive package/approach for the Steelers today. Lebeau not on his game today either. Very little pressure. Steelers looked out of shape. Timmons the only linebacker who looked like he could play the whole game. Harrison is understandable considering the surgery. Farrior missed 3 series or so. Like I said all along, the Steelers still refuse to address the weak corner issues. Ike Taylor held Lee Evans without a catch. He is a very good cover corner. And they don't have another soul on the roster who is even average at that position. They were abused there again, ala Superbowl. Without pressure, the opposite corner is exposed and they suck. William Gay and Bryant McFadden couldn't cover Hammertime.
September 11, 201115 yr LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Rice set the tone early on off. 100 plus rushing + close to that receiving. Love that they are running stretch with him. Ravens D manhandled Pitt all day long! Pressure on Big Ben all day. Physical hits play after play. My man Easy Ed Reed w 2 picks. Ray Ray cusing turnovers. Sizzle beat on Big Ben all day. Ngata was dominant! WR's played well. Balt dominated in every phase!
September 11, 201115 yr I love it when the Steelers get beat. The Ravens looked really really really really good. I have to enjoy the Bengals win and the Steelers loss in the same week. It might not happen again.
September 11, 201115 yr Author Seriously, I don't know. Aaron Smith looked abnormal for him today, and he's basically had a year off. He still drew a double, but he typically holds his ground better than he did today, and sadly you may see Ziggy Hood finally take his spot. Hampton was solid, Keisel was okay. I swear, the Ravens simply challenged them with a shot in the chops and the Steelers didn't respond in kind. And when they finally did, they couldn't do anything but turn it over. Ben threw 2 bad picks, the other was batted at the LOS. OLine wasn't that bad. They ran it on them fine but had to abandon that because they were down triple digits or so it seemed. And while it seems bad right now, looking at the #s, the Steelers still didn't give up 400 yds total. And considering they donated it 7 times, that's amazing. Ward got jacked up a coupld of times, I suppose it's time they got some shots on him instead of vice versa. And frankly, the schedule isn't that daunting for the Steelers. Next week it's the Seahawks at home.

They got less pressure on him that the last 3 contests.
September 11, 201115 yr Too be honest, Baltimore was dominating the playoff game prior to the turnover collapse. If I'm a Steelers fan, I'd be a little concerned about the past two performances against Baltimore.
