I wouldn't doubt that Coach Bolden said this. I didn't hear him, but it seems like something he'd say. However, I assure that you he is not going to let his team lose focus the week after a huge win and the week before a huge re-match. I have no issue with it.

 

Who knows what happened to precipate the comment or the circumstances around it. Even theguru himself doesn't know.

Really ? So you have no idea of what happened or if it even happened at all , then why post it ?

I would suspect there are "incidents" and trash-talk and excessive bravado between kids at a lot of these camps. I don't know that what is alleged to have occurred would really be considered all that unusual or even serious. I don't think it'll have any bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the game - Elliott will play like Elliott always does (not saying he'll rack up the yards he normally does, but he'll play as hard as he always does) and Cards' defense will play like they always do. At the end of the day, you can't give more than 100%, which is what these players give game in and game out anyway.

 

That being said, I'm not condoning the trash-talk behavior, just saying that it does happen - with both kids and adults.

Lttle scuffles always break out practice and it's not unusual for the players on the same team. My mole went to a Highlands practice and said there were fights all over the field a couple of weeks ago . I can see teenagers popping off and running their mouth , but coaches are the role models for these kids and should show discression . As far as the pregame boring speaches ,coach Mueller uses them and you can tell that really has hurt their program . ( Didn't mean to thread jack , but I thought it was relevent .)

That was my question, I guess he's smoke screening it to Elliott. Sounds like Colerain won't be letting off the gas, not gonna be a fun night for the Union faithful visiting Colerain township.
