gold sunrise Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I see that Lafayette made the ranking this week after they thumped Mason Co last week.
sportsfan41 Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I see that Lafayette made the ranking this week after they thumped Mason Co last week. Who's at #9? Different Lafayette?
gold sunrise Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Who's at #9? Different Lafayette? Here is last weeks rankings: 1 Trinity 2 Male 3 Manual 4 Scott Co 5 Dixie Heights 6 Simon Kenton 7 St X 8 Ballard 9 Henderson Co 10 Henry Clay Some shifted, Henry Clay dropped out of the ranking and Lafayette entered the rankings.
fatsnbul Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 St. X should be #2 They should be ahead of Male at the very least.
Royalblue81 Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 St. X should be #2 I agree. Time will tell.

Ha my bad GS, I swear I may have to get my eyes checked or something. This is like the 5th time this week I've misread what someone was saying, I thought you said they didn't make the rankings. Today was my b-day and at 27 my comprehension seems to be aging at an exponential rate.
sportsfan41 Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 4 of the top 5 in the same district. By design, if you can't beat them, make them beat each other......

Sandman Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 4 of the top 5 in the same district. So does this mean that all but one of these teams will be elminated after the third round of the playoffs EVERY year? If so, that's absurd. What a terrible idea. Whoever the state runner-up is should send their trophy to the runner-up of this district/region. As they likely would have finished fourth or fifth in this district.

That's been the case any time the allignment meant the teams in said region matched up in the playoffs in early rounds for years now. Outside of T and X it really doesn't matter, alot of time their best games are either a battle for 1st or a battle for second amongst the public schools.
