WVA Boy, I'll take this Russell State Championship team over NCC any day. Russell was more physical and had a better running game and would in my opinion spread the NCC defense. I also think the Russell defense is better than you think. Remember also those kids know how to win 27-2 the past two years. I believe you are disrespecting the quality of 2A football alittle bit. Contrary to what you think Russell, Belfry, Ft. Campbell, DeSales and OCath, not to mention Newport, Mercer Co. are pretty darn good. Your comparision of Newport and NCC are a little invalid because at the end of the year that score would have been alot different. Newport was clicking at the right time and coming together under a new Coach. I don't think 1A fairs as well as you may think!!!!

Did you watch Ncc play in the state championship game this year? After seeing both teams i would say Ncc wins by two td's.

To the original intent of this thread--Trinity or NCC!!

I would have to go with Russell they looked pretty solid and according to the state championship program they will be returning 27 juniors. Thats pretty a impressive class size to be returning for a 2A school. :thumb:
