My niece plays volleyball in VA and she has to have a baseline test done in the event that she suffers a concussion. That way they can do a before and after. I know a good friend of mine either did or will have his son have the same test done for football. This test is required in VA.

 

Do any KY schools require it?

All Hardin County schools require concussion baseline testing.

Not sure if it's required, but Highlands offers it for free (or very cheap), I believe

Nelson Co., Bethlehem and Bardstown all started this program this year.

It was from 2006 thru 2008. I have not been around the team since then. The team trainer starts testing in the spring so they have all players on file. If they take a big hit, he retest them. They have a Great trainer and team Dr.

Well that team doctor and great trainer are no longer there so it should be interesting to see if they will be doing the ImPACT testing from now on.

Just so you know Ryle has had all its football players take the impact test at the beginning of the July practices. Big loss in trainer he done alot for Ryle athletes.
