When was the last time CCH started a soph at PG? Just curious.

Can't think of any off the top of my head. The best PG I can remember is Nesto and he didn't start as a SOPH. Tierney didn't(really good PG as well).

Now that I think more I think Maschinot may have started a bit at PG as a SOPH but he was more of a 2.

While I haven't heard officially I think SR Tom Arnzen has decided to skip basketball this year and just play baseball. He had some injuries last season and I think he wants to come into baseball fully healed and healthy. Probably a good call for him.

Too bad for CC. He is such a good player and would have really helped them out.

He is a solid player and will be missed.

He will have a HUGE baseball season.

Tim T was the PG that year.

If I had to guess, you'd have to go all the way back to Purdon. But, I can't remember if/how many times he started as a soph., or if he played point.

If not him, then you back to the Listerman boys. Andy started as a soph on the 92 team, Kevin started the following year, also as a soph.

It will be interesting to how much the team picture changes from this year's team to next year's team.

Was Purdon the player that ended up at NKU? If so, I don't remember him being a PG. I think he was the designated shooter from the 2 position. Wasn't a very good ball-handler.

I heard the very same thing from a very good source.

The Jr class is pretty talented at the guard position, Frederick looks like he has gotten taller and the kid who may surprise most will be Kellen Jenkins. He had a nice summer from what I understand.

If they start the coach's son at the PG spot he must be pretty good because Murphy is no slouch and Massie was pretty good last year coming off the bench.

I would expect them to get up and down and try to rely on their shooting ability and quickness.

I dont know much about the bigs on this team except from what I read on here. Apparently the Dressman kid is pretty good and Schult is a beast. Tobler is a tall kid who can definitely see minutes on the block.

With the new coach and a fresh start, this may turn out to be a pretty good group.

We will find out soon as their first game is Nov 29th against GRC....just 12 more days.

I assume you are making the trip, right? Maybe I can get the Crazies to due a Gold Sunrise cheer.

I know they have a new head coach but did he keep any of the old staff or all new coaches? If so who are they?

New staff. Don't remember all but Tony Bacigalupo is the varsity assistant.

Anybody have the final roster? I have not seen anything yet, but I did hear one surprise - Murphy is not playing this year.

No cuts were made.

 I love the Crazies, love it when they go to the state tourney, watch them more than the game. Really wish I could make it, but I will be out of town, taking my mom to Gatlinberg. When I get back I hope you will post a full report on both teams.
