Anybody have the final roster? I have not seen anything yet, but I did hear one surprise - Murphy is not playing this year.

I do not know the whole story but was told that Cam was told he would not be playing strictly varsity, and was not happy with that decision by the coach, so he quit. As far as the coach's son, if he is as good as I have been hearing, yes he will be stepping into that spot. I do not know if Cam was expecting to be the starter or not.

The practice players can work there way into dressing for games.

Has to be.

This could be a long year for Colonels. Lack size to compete inside. Guards are small in height, will they be strong and quick enough to defend and get open to create shots. I know Frederick has nice range but it does him no good if he can't get open. The big men made up for a lot of the guard liabilities last two years. It will be interesting to see how this develops.

Last year they were an inside-first team. This year they will be an outside-first team.

 

You certainly raise questions that a lot of people are asking.

 

Without knowing Coach R's style of play it's hard to speculate.

 

I am looking forward to watching them.

He'll play to win regardless of who it takes to get there. I think there are only 3 seniors on the team. One will start . One might start. The other will be a backup.

After watching the Colonels scrimmage yesterday I think Connor Cleves can have an impact this year once he gets his basketball legs under him. He fits their style defensively because he's strong and aggressive. Offensively he can play the 3 and have two talented guards get him shots . He's never been a "get his own shot" player but with penetration by the two Nicks he can set up and be ready to shoot the 3.

I also liked the play and attitude of the Pauly kid.
