New staff. Don't remember all but Tony Bacigalupo is the varsity assistant.
Believe former St Henry standout and Bellermine grad Matt Otte is on the staff.

You are correct. Saw him yesterday after the CCH JV game finished.

Yes I realized that after entering them. Massie/Cleves/Hayden are the Srs. They have a nice Jr class with Frederick, Ward, Tobler, Pauly and Jenkins. They will be a good shooting team but Tobler and Dressman will have to be serviceable on the post or teams will bang them to death.

Fortunately the 9th is not filled with true bigs like last year. Secondly, you negate a big man in the post by making it difficult on the perimeter which is what they will try to do.

I am not convinced they are a "good shooting team." I think they have 2 shooters. The rest are athletes and a couple of bigs.

Frederick and Ward can shoot it and that is who I have seen mostly. Jenkins and Pauly are nice athletes who play very good defense. I am not as familiar with the Sr's though. Ruthsatz will bring a lot of energy to the floor.

My guess (key word) is you'll see Ward doing what he did yesterday which is get to the basket as well as be a pain on defense and get steals and go to the rim. Strong kid.

Below are the young men who received minutes at the Kelsey Sorrell varsity scrimmage on Saturday. Those with an * are to my knowledge, on the team but because of football, didn't play.

Who else dresses for varsity, :idunno:I guess we will all find out on Nov. 29th vs. GRC @ CovCath.

Schaefer, Joe

Fredrick, Nick

Jenkins, Kellen

Massie, Clint *

Hayden, Ryan

Pauly, Sawyer

Shumate,

Ruthsatz, Nick

Ward, Brandon

Dressman, Sam *

Cleves, Connor *

Wichmann, Nate

Tobler, Zack

I recognize most of the names, TOG. Were they all at CCH last year or are there new kids this year?

They really lack size compared to what they had last year.

Nothing got the crazies stirred up more than the slam dunk fest in the pre game warm ups. Oh well, it's nver good to live in the past.

Shumate is a junior at CovCath and has been there all three years but was not on any CovCath basketball team last year of course Ruthsatz who is currently a sophomore is attending CovCath for the first time this year!

Understand this is not a final roster, but just who played minutes at the Sorrell scrimmage.

The smallest and youngest looking CCH team I've seen in a while.

I remember watching the Shumate boy his frosh year. He has a nice game.

I was pretty shocked watching CovCath looked like their biggest kid was 6'4. It seems like every year they have had several 6'6 kids.
