I've got a 3. I've been holding off on the temptation of getting a 4 because I had heard about 5 months ago the 5 should be coming out July-Nov.

I have a 3 also and have been looking to get a 3gs or 4 but was told by a family member to wait for the 5. I was also told to wait on the iPad unless I wanted to get the first one until the iPad3 comes out.

 

I know there was a lot of talk about how ugly and boxy looking and all the iPhone 4 was when the one employee left a prototype in a bar, I am guessing we will have to wait until the unveiling this time around.

The iphone 4 is smaller than the 3g. Not sure why anyone would consider it ugly. It looks great to me.

Iphone 4 still holding strong at its price on various websites. I have been shopping for one hoping it would drop but it appears the 5 will be a 4s and not that much different.

Rolling with the 3GS right now, but may look to make the jump to i5 when it comes out.

So I'm going to be getting an iPad here shortly. My wife and I were pretty strongly considering buying one, and then she started classes for med school and was informed that next year, all med students are required to have an iPad. ....decision made, haha.

 

So now I've got a question for those of you who have iPads already:

 

It's $499 for the 16GB, $599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB. I'm pretty strongly tended towards the 32GB model over the 16GB just "because"...so is there really any reason that any of you might think the extra memory is un-necessary...or any reason why you might go ahead and spring for the extra memory and get the 64 GB?

I've got an Ipad that I use for work, and it is the 32 GB version. I have about 8 GB of music on it, about 20 apps, issues of Sports Illustrated, a couple of books, and another GB of pictures, and a folder full of docs I use for business presentations. I still have about 15 GB free, and don't see ever filling it up. Of course I've said that about computers when 10gb hard drives were considered big. I think 32, and heck even the 16GB versions are enough for 90% of the world. Unless you're storing a bunch of video, I don't think the 64gb is necessary. On the other hand, it is only an extra $100 to get the 64GB version, and it does future proof you should you suddenly need extra storage. Considering though you'll probably spend another $100 in accessories (a nice case is a must, and screen protectors are a good idea, and not all apps are are free), if you're on a budget, you'll be fine with the 32GB version. If you see yourself doing more than just school stuff, or using it as an entertainment device as well, and not so much on a budget, I'd spring for the bigger model.
