So we're going into week three with a 2-0 record. LaSalle could be a winnable game, but it would be a pretty surprising upset. Beechwood will be a challenging game, and Highlands will obviously be a big hurdle as well. Cov Cath 8-2 regular season sounds about right to me though.

I agree, but I still think Cov Cath goes into the Boone County game as an obvious favorite. Boone handled Southwestern fairly well, and followed that up with a pretty flat 19-7 victory over a very mediocre-at-best Conner team.

I would suspect with Coach Warner's ambition for the Ryle program (they scheduled Colerain and Columbus DeSales this year), Ryle was a difficult team to fit into the schedule. St. X was a perennial loss, and a momentum-deflator leading into playoff season. Teams want to be on a roll as they start up their playoff run, so I’ve got no problem dumping that matchup. New Cath is usually a game that Cov Cath likes to play, and there’s no bad blood between the programs. I would assume this was just a scheduling issue.

The past two seasons the Caths played each other on at the end of September. This year CovCath has its district game vs. Highlands. I will miss this game. I enjoyed watching it.

I couldn't agree more. It's the only game all season that I ever root against New Cath.
