A big Congrats to Luke Schmits, WOW! Great honor and well deserving. Great job kid.

I know off topic but I have been wondering.

 

Has St. Henry District high school always had the "District" in their name? Or is it new? I only seem to recall it being used when they moved to their new location.

 

And why do they have that in their name?

Andy "killer" Miller with the big knock to tie the game and then scores the "winner, winner chicken dinner" run! Love to see the Ft. Thomas boys doing good down on the hill! And congrats to Luke "I'm no Fluke" Schmits on a well deserved MVP! Congrats to all the hard ballin' Breds and continued success in the state tourney!

 

...and my deepest sympathies and prayers to CovCath's Jack Grosser and family. It puts a real perspective on all of sports when tragedies strike.

The official name of St. Henry is now and has been since they moved, St. Henry Distinct High School. The official name for Covington Holy Cross is Holy Cross District High School.

It sounds as though Andy "killer" Miller was the Star of the show in the finals! Congratulations to Andy and the Breds on the big victory Friday evening in Florence. Miller's box score: 2-3 with a double, 2RBI's and a run scored in a 3-2 victory in the finals. Wow!!! That's pretty impressive!!! If memory serves me correctly, didn't he have a few big hits in the Beechwood and Boone games as well? Sounds like he had a heck of a tournament.

 

I'm kind of surprised now that the state tournament doesn't start for over a week!!!!

Got back from vacation with the family and heard the great news. Congrats Breds! Way to not give up when behind and continuously keep battling. Good luck at the state tourney.:ylsuper:

Congrats to the Breds. When is their next game? Heard from a NCC Dad that there is a significant layoff. Must be playing havoc with some of the summer team rosters. Great problem to have, though.
