Thank you Doc, that comment about their attitude and work ethic is what I wanted to hear. It is safe to say that I have seen alot of Raceland teams through the years. I have to say that some teams with not as much talent than other Ram teams that had better seasons that the teams that were really more talented. Attitude and work ethic mean everything.

 

Thats great, should this team become a "band of brothers" then by seasons end they will be a good football team. Keep this group with that same attitude and work ethic through the next couple of years and the sky is the limit.

I have had more than one person tell me that this group was as good and had as much potential as they have seen at Raceland in a long time, maybe ever!

MAKE IT HAPPEN

I'm not yet going to crown them above the most recent 2 very successful teams in '06 and '08 but the potential is there. If not this year, next year, definitely.

I believe the fact that this young team is practicing like an older more mature team is very pleasing to all of us surrounding the team. I will go out on a limb and predict an 8-2 regular season.

That was what I ws talking about, meaning a year or two ahead. Right now I am sure they can and have been reminded that the bar is always set high here, they have ptential but have done nothing yet. They, like all former teams if they want to be good have to TCB and MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

I went to a site and had a Raceland Football shirt designed. It should be here in a week or so. I have "TCB" and "Taking Care of Business" on the back. It should be pretty cool.

I love the attitude so far from this team, very work oriented. But, a close second to that is, this team has a very good combination of size and speed. Many of the players are a lot bigger then they were last year, and many have added a great deal of speed. Many worked with trainers all off season to accomplish this addition of speed, and it is paying off. The fourth thing I am excited about is the level of conditioning at this time of the year. There does not seem to a player out of the 44 that is out of shape. That is something that I don't recall seeing before.

Rule 13

Raceland should do very well this season and better the next few years. Like most teams however, a couple of injuries to key players such as Reed or Caudill could make for long season. Reed is very srong and fast, and is needed healthy on both sides of the ball. The younger Rams will get some experience and the future looks great for the team.

I know there is some excitement in Grayson with the new coaching staff, bermuda grass field, etc. I also know that your best player is done for the year and that has to be a huge setback. Raceland never overlooks East Carter. You guys put a whipping on us in 2007 and I still have nightmares from how easily you went up and down the field on us.

I think that you will see that again this year. I, too, was sickened by the passive and soft defense we played last year. I know the coaches made it a top priority to get this year's team more physical and back to being hitter's. The off-season weight room attitude has been great and the player's attitude so far on the practice field has been top notch. All that is left is to see if it has translated onto the field. I sure hope it has....

After talking with Coach Moore the other day, I could tell he's going to do an amazing job in Grayson. I expect the Raiders to be much improved.:thumb:
