May 18, 201115 yr If I'm Cleveland I'm thinking Irving and Kanter. Then take one of the guys like Barnes, Gilchrist, or Rivers next year. That would be a nice young team. Or if I'm Cleveland and I can trade the #4 pick for a team that is going to be bad next year as well I would do that for two lottery next year. I think they have to go with Irving, next year will be weak for PGs and the depth at all other positions is much better next season I would imagine.

May 18, 201115 yr The Sporting News current mock draft has Kanter going #2 to Minnesota, Knight at #7, Selvin Mack at #15 to the Pacers and Liggins slipping into the back end of the first round at #24. That would be great if it happens for Liggins. He has worked so hard and come so far to get there.
May 18, 201115 yr ^ I would be beyond shocked to see that happen. I agree. I couldn't believe it when I saw Liggins listed in round 1. Almost all the other mock drafts I have seen have Liggins toward the back end of round 2. I was also surprised to see Mack listed in round 1 as I have seen him in round 2 as well. Also, I should have mentioned Kenneth Faried coming in at the middle of round 1 in most mock drafts. How about Kyle Singler? How much money did he cost himself by coming back? I have seen him listed in some drafts in the middle of round 2, although most seem to still see him in round 1. For those who applaud players for coming back, he may become exhibit A as to why you go when your stock is high.
May 18, 201115 yr Only reason I say Williams is because you don't need a stud PG in the NBA to win. Williams could be something special. A stud PG can make a team alot better though and quickly. CP3, DRose, and the Nets will be mch improved next year with DWill for an entire year. I don't see Williams becoming a star at the next level, too much of a tweener.

May 18, 201115 yr I don't see Williams being any better than a JJ Hickson/Taj Gibson kind of player. I don't see him being a special player at all. Guess we'll see.

He wasn't a guaranteed first round pick last year if I am not mistaken. My recollection is that most of the drafts had Singler slotted the same as Patterson, in the 10-15 range.
