April 7, 201115 yr Author How awesome do the Nuggets look right now? Denver/OKC should be a doozy. Denver has been impressive. I will admit they are a lot better than I thought they would ever be. Going forward I still like the team with a star(s) on it. Spurs have wrapped up the #1 seed in the west. Looks as if Chicago is about to do the same in the East.
April 7, 201115 yr I think Denver will cause some problems for whoever they face in round one, but unless they somehow play Dallas I do not think the Nuggets will get more than a win, maybe two. I think they'd have a shot against Dallas.
April 7, 201115 yr I actually have thought that might be their thinking of late, but I feel they would want & need home court against LA. LA is a poor road team in the playoffs. I agree. I don't think San Antonio has a chance to beat LA without home court.

April 11, 201115 yr Author Coming down to the final games here and the Lakers have all of a sudden dropped 5 in a row, in a tie for 2nd in the west, and only 1 game ahead of the Thunder for the #2 seed in the playoffs. They do finish with San Antonio (who has nothing to play for) and Sacramento. The Celtics were thumped yesterday by the Heat and relinquish the #2 seed to the Heat.

April 11, 201115 yr I said when Perk was trade to OKC that the Lakers didn't want to face them and I will stand by that. LA is not that unbeatable when you can neutralize Bynum and no one in the league does it like Perkins with the exception of DHoward. Boston was so dumb IMO, there aren't 5 centers in the league I'd rather have if I'm trying to win a title every year. He's no Howard or Noah, but he can defend any big in the league one on one which is an invaluable trait. If LA plays OKC, I'll stick by my prediction that the Thunder will win. Of course everyone has to be healthy or on the court.
April 11, 201115 yr Author I still do not know how much to read in to the NBA basketball season. Every year I get roped in to thinking it means more than it does for some of the teams. The Celtics were mediocre finishing at 27-27 last year. The Lakers finished 4-7.
