How much longer will the football turf last? I'm guessing someone, somewhere is already working on the plan to get funding for a replacement.

 

Most turf surfaces are rated for 10 years.

The type of turf that is at HHS is Field Turf Co. talking to Dale last week he thinks they could get another 4-6 years out of it.

At most, and that's pretty aggressive. Field Turf warranteed the field for 10 years but told us that the warranty is based on Florida installations (where the strong sun breaks down the turf fibers faster than up here). The President of Field Turf said we are likely to get more than 10 years, but he couldn't say how many more years. I have spoken to Dale several times (as recent as earlier this month) about the replacement and it's definitely on his radar.

Good info. Without sharing more than you're comfortable with have discussions started or plans been made to start raising money for the next turf?
